Former American Idol contestant Kimberly Henderson is no stranger to the limelight. The 26-year-old singer from Sumter, South Carolina, received worldwide praise after a YouTube video she posted online went viral. In the video, Kimberly sang Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know?" to her daughter, Vaida, after the child was having trouble sleeping.
The hopeful singer recently released a track called "Tiny Hearts," a powerful song about Kimberly's own experience in being a young, single mom and how her daughter means everything to her. Kimberly also filmed a music video for the song, which prominently features shots of Vaida accompanying the lovely tune.
Miss Henderson recently opened up on her Facebook page about how her faith saved her from giving up her baby as she sat in an abortion clinic two years ago. "I sat in the abortion clinic for nearly 7 hours," she writes. "I remember wearing a pink t-shirt that was soaking wet from crying. I had my mind made up. I felt like I was about to make a horrible, horrible decision and God was giving me signs to not do it."
What's most amazing about this beautiful ballad is that she wrote it in only 24 hours' time. The song comes from the heart and focuses on her experiences as a single parent. The first verse even describes her earliest months as a young mother to her baby girl. Henderson also released the song for sale on iTunes late last month.
