Jim O’Rourke and David Grubbs have compiled a new archival album of Gastr del Sol music. Out May 24 via Drag City, We Have Dozens of Titles will comprise uncollected studio work and unreleased live recordings, the first of which, “The Seasons Reverse,” you can hear now. The version below was recorded in 1997, at the band’s final show.

O’Rourke’s last solo release was last year’s Hands That Bind soundtrack. It followed his 2020 album Shutting Down Here. Last year, Grubbs teamed up with fellow improv guitarist Alan Courtis for an album called Braintrust of Fiends and Werewolves.
