Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” has won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording. The song was given the award over Bonobo’s “Rosewood,” David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s “I’m Good (Blue),” Diplo and Miguel’s “Don’t Forget My Love,” Kaytranada and H.E.R.’s “Intimidated,” and Rüfüs Du Sol’s “On My Knees.”

“Break My Soul” was the lead single from Beyoncé’s 2022 album, Renaissance. The album was her seventh to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making Beyoncé the first female artist to achieve the feat. “Break My Soul” was her eighth solo single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, too.

The Best/Dance Electronic Recording nomination was one of many for Beyoncé this year. “Break My Soul” also received nods for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and the Terry Hunter remix of the song was nominated for Best Remixed Recording.

Prior to the 2023 Grammys, Beyoncé had never been nominated in the dance and electronic music categories, but she was clear, upon Renaissance’s release, that her music was inspired by the genres.
